My vote for best director goes to Julian Schnabel. He did a great job in The Diving Bell and the Butterfly which I saw last year in my film class under William Wolf (former chairman of the New York Film Critics Circle). It's one of the best films I've seen last year. I think it's even better than Julian's previous opus, When Night Falls (with the great Javier Bardem whose work in No Country for Old Men would be hard to beat in the Best Supporting Acting category).
WILL WIN: Bigelow or Cameron
SHOULD WIN: Bigelow
SNUBBED: Eh. Nobody, really.
